Introducing… The Flexible Filly Line from ThinLine Canada®

The new Flexible Filly line includes lightweight, breathable, and flexible horse boots.

The Flexible Filly Sport Boot weighs only 200 grams and features the new Pro Mesh design used for the protective outer layer, which acts like “flexible horse armor” offering a combination of breathability with impact and abrasion protection, as well as support and durability. Its honeycomb hex pattern reduces weight and offers an optimum mix of protection, air flow, strength, and flexibility. It keeps out grit and sand, and helps guard against rubbing.

“The new ThinLine Flexible Sport Boot is one of my favourite boots,” says BC rider, Adele Wong. “They’re incredibly light, flexible, and breathable, while still being protective. These boots have never absorbed water or gotten heavier during the ride.” She adds that the “super sticky” straps keep the boots on and prevent them from sliding. 

The Flexible Filly Open Front Boots with newly modeled exterior features air cushion technology and flexible concussion protection with an offset strike guard design. The offset strike guard is made of a stiff thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material to spread out the force of impact forces, and the raised shape also reduces impact force by flexing slightly. 

Underneath the guard is an airbag insert running the length of the tendon and lying flat in the strike guard space between the inner foam lining and strike guard shell. Air cushions offer enhanced boot fit and comfort, last the lifetime of the boot, and will always remain flexible for improved tendon, ligament, and joint movement. The remainder of the shell is a flexible TPU.

The ThinLine open cell technology delivers impact protection in a wafer-thin breathable foam, perfect for a horse splint boot. The ThinLine material does not compress, so the boots gently shape to the horse’s legs for a comfortable fit. The infused antimicrobial agents allow ThinLine products to be used on multiple horses. These boots are easy to keep clean and don’t absorb dirt or water.
