Traditional on the outside, innovative on the inside.
Easy Fit Saddles, based in Millarville, Alberta, caters to horse people who want a saddle that truly fits both horse and rider.
Easy Fit Saddles designs and produces a lightweight, rugged, close-contact saddle for the discriminating rider. They cater to riders who want a saddle that correctly fits their horse, with adjustability features to keep it fitting properly or to fit other horses within a similar size range. They also believe the saddle should accurately fit the rider for optimum comfort and performance.
A qualified saddle fitter starts by measuring the horse, taking detailed, three-dimensional measurements of the horse’s back, as well as determining saddle size and customer preferences. Next, they custom-build the tree to fit the horse’s back type. Their saddles incorporate built-in bar shim pads to keep them fitting as the horse’s shape changes with age and conditioning. The lightweight trees are made of a glass-infused polymer, with a tuned carbon fiber frame that incorporates an adjustable cable girthing system.

The adjustable seat can receive a variety of inserts to not only fit both female and male riders, but also correctly position the rider in the saddle. The adjustable stirrup position system allows the rider to achieve a proper balanced riding posture. The cable rigging and single strap stirrup system combine to minimize all the bulk under your leg. The saddle is produced ensuring all custom finishing requests are completed. And fully-rigged, the Easy Fit saddle comes in at an average of just 20 pounds.
Once finished, the saddle fitter makes any final adjustments needed for the fit and comfort of the horse, achieving contact between the tree and the horse’s back over as large an area as possible, keeping pressure off the spine, tendons and reflex points, and giving the shoulders room to move. The fitter also ensures that the seat inserts and fender placement seat the rider in a balanced position, in alignment with the horse’s centre of gravity.
