February 19, 2020 - Prairieland Park organizers and the Saskatchewan Equine Expo Committee would like to thank their partners, the Saskatchewan Horse Federation and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, along with the sponsors, media, and volunteers, who helped to make the 9th Annual Saskatchewan Equine Expo an amazing success.
Held at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon, from February 13-16, 2020, the weekend was filled with information and entertainment, demonstrations and competitions, an industry-specific trade show, and a showcase of all-things equine.
A special thank you to the three incredible trainers for their entertaining performances, and congratulations to Rick Wiebe (Outlook, Saskatchewan) for being named the winner of the NAERIC Trainer Challenge. Rod Olson (Cardston, Alberta) and Chris Munro (Red Cliff, Alberta) rounded out the competitors for the challenge; both with impressive final rounds, making the judge’s decision very difficult.
Our feature clinician, Josh Nichol, had standing room only sessions in the Information Theatre, and a captivated audience in the Ag Center for his demonstrations.
“The weather definitely cooperated with us this year, and we are pleased that the 9th Equine Expo attracted an enthusiastic and knowledgeable crowd of over 8500 people,” commented Lori Cates, Agriculture Manager.
Save the date for the 10th Anniversary Expo - February 11 to 14, 2021. More details on the Saskatchewan Equine Expo website.
